BREATHER
Installed the breather for the diesel day tank up on the wheelhouse roof-I call it the top deck, B calls it the 'copter pad!
Mason Bay now fully taken up and I sponged out the bilges this morning so lets see....

SAMPSON POSTS- FINAL
A small detail I would like to point out is the 1/2in or 12mm hole bored in the tops to a depth of 1/2 in to hold a squirt of linseed oil to feed the post. It stops shaking and cracking as it soakes down the end grain...

DECK IRONS
Think that is what they are called. They are water troughs for the range flue and MIRO stove below in the evening saloon. Just back from the galvanizers....
By the way M.B. has just about 'taken up'! what started as a pump of 70secs every 4mins is now down to 20secs every 9hrs so pleased about that .Always tricky doing a partial caulk not to overdo it as can break ribs...

RE-LAUNCHING
Back in the drink again after 20 months! Leaking a bit as she takes up but now into 2nd day and down to 1/20th of the first hour.Floats nice and high but lots to go in yet, like 1.5t diesel,.8t water 2t lead ( still on the hunt for more?) masts and rig.

SAMPSON POSTS - 2
Got the sampson posts all bolted in and filled ready for touch-up paint. Made individual 3/8 copper bolts with 316 UNC nuts on inside and rivitted head on outside. Will use 2 10mm galv coach bolts thru deck to clamp below. Need these done ready to tie her up after re-launching. Still on target for Wed 18th...

DICKEY SEAT
Well actually it is the air intake for the motor in a 'dorade' form to allow air but no water! Also a nice place to sit. Its been suggested a seat belt would be apropriate.......

TOP DECK HATCH
Installed the combing to the top deck access hatch. Hatch will come later. Cabintop or top deck now has 2 coats of 'Jotun' primer and is waiting for deck paint.

SAMPSON POSTS
This is the first of the 6 sampson posts to be installed before launching. Need to be able to tie the boat up! Two amidships, 2 on each stern quarter. and 2 up forward on the shoulders.(as reccomended by Ian[Souvenir]) They are only glued in place now but will have 2 copper bolts each later.
Re-launching in 1 1/2 weeks........

ADJUSTER
This is the steering chain adjuster- see the slotted holes?But I mounted it on the rear of the panel, with the bolt heads set in epoxy. Russell will remember making this in Bluff!
