Work has started on Moerangi with repairs to some patches of rot both port and starboard. and guess where? yes at the lowest part of the deck sheer! This boat is a Logan launched in 1901, so 112 years old.This is the 3 skin system that was pioneered by the Logan Bros. It is 2 diagonals skins of 3/8" and fore and aft planked with 3/4" All Kauri of course and on 4 of 8" by 3" stringers fore and aft.
