Got this piece of gold back from the hydraulic engineers the other day. It will bolt onto the existing crankshaft pulley to replace the fisherman style welded one that was there. Engineer had seen one give way with side loading continually flexing the welds. This has been machined out of solid shaft.It will have 4 pulleys - 2for the deck/bilge pump, one for the new hydraulic motor and one spare.There is talk of another alternator, small, just to charge the starting battery.The point being that it is not possible to charge the two systems from the one alternator as the battery charging requirements are different... any comments gratefully absorbed!...
