The back of the first layer of the laminated clamp is fitted on to the tops of the ribs- hard up under the covering board. It has to be backed out in some places to fit snug, then red leaded.Two more 20mm layers will be glued on top. Then copper bolts right thru from ouside rubrail to clamp and shelf.

RED LEAD
The back of the first layer of the laminated clamp is fitted on to the tops of the ribs- hard up under the covering board.
