REMOUNTED

Have had to remount the hydraulic pump as it was operating the wrong way. Apparently some pumps will but most won't. had afew days off and went south to a small boatyard regatta for dinghies. Lovely day. had a 2 hour sail singlehanded on a vintage 'Zeddie'

WHANGAETEAU REGATTA













Took the Sunday off and we drove 100km's south to a tiny classic regatta for small dinghies at a low key original Kiwi boatyard. Had a couple of hours sail in a catboat a 'Zeddie'.....

SINK

Cut a hole in the Kauri bench and mounted the small ss sink. Plumbed to a skin fitting installed behind the port water tank in the Lazerette below
There will eventually be a shelf half way to the cabin sole.

ELECTRICAL PANEL

The second electrical panel and meter now in place over the diesel day tank.This panel has all non-navigational items, like water header tank, diesel day tank,aft accommodation and forward acc. The meter will monitor the house batteries- amp/hours % etc (has a batt temp function). Waiting to be wired....

Got a second hand red cedar door that was the exact width but a bit short in height so added a bit (200mm) to the top. Have the glass ready next time I am diong some black gunking...

INJECTION PUMP

Picked up and re-installed the injection pump, with Max's help, fully reconditioned to factory specs and blasted and painted!
Later in the day ,at high tide fired up the ISUZU perfect.....

MAIN MAST STEP


Bolted down the new steel main mast step. This is also a tabernacle- you can see the hinge on the aft edge. Will put belaying pins in the holders...

WATER-WATER

Now ready for the rain.Water collection system now in place.Drain down to outlet with plug at the bottom, the pipe fills till it reaches the 't' junction and then flows over to the filler pipe and down thru the bulkhead and on down to the twin 400 lit tanks. The top of this pipe has a cap for hose filling. Hopefully all the bits will remain in the first pipe and will discharge overboard when the plug is removed...

COOKTOP


The 2 burner gas cooktop is now in place. We can do expresso coffee for smoko! The oven is in the wood range when we need it. Will need to organize some sort of fiddle rails for when at sea

ANCHOR GEAR



Loaded 2 of the 3 anchoirs aboard and also the anchor chain. Two shots, one 50m of 1/2 working rode ,and 60 m 1/2 backup below the workshop floor. The working anchor is the new ROCNA (anchor spelt backwards!) 40kg or 90lbs. They are getting very good reports around here, Designed in NZ and made in China. The hydraulic windless powers in and out at 12m per minute and will lift 1.5 tons.
