MAHURANGI CLASSIC REGATTA


Watching the yachts with Richie taking photos.On the rear 'verandah'. is a favourite place on Mason Bay, out of the wind when on anchor due to the accommodation going full beam.

SAMPSON POST CAP


Still out cruising the Hauraki Gulf. Mason Bay continues to perform great.Only problem so far is a loose wire to the rev counter so that it gave eratic readings when in a chop - easily fixed.
One of the little jobs I completed was a fibreglass and epoxy 'cap' for the 55 year old sampson post. I had thought of copper but I had 'glass and epoxy on board. I started with a lot of filler in all the weather shakes to get a smooth surface to 'glass. Masked off,glassed, filled and sanded and painted white. A good answer I think...
