EYEBROW

To determine the shape of the overhanging 'eyebrow' a pattern was made of the bullwarks down aft. This was then laid on top of the beams and notches cut to receive 4 laminations of 6mm each. The ends of the beams will then be trimmed to this line. The t&g sarking can land on this rim. Lastly a 160-170 facia can be wrapped around....

HEATER

The Dickinson heater that came with the boat is being rebuilt. 2 new fans and 2 new switches required-there are no other moving parts! Works the same as your car heater, that is hot water from the motor cooling system runs thru a radiator and there are 2 fans to push air across the hot fins, so it is 1/2 power or full power.

CABIN COMBINGS-SEALED

First coat of varnish inside and gery primer outside. Yes we know there needs to be a trim batten inside to cover the deck join, but will be done later-OK?
Welcome to the Russians, all 22 of you! Are there out-of-service fishing boats up there? Be nice if all lookers signed up!

CABIN TOP

Here is the cabin roof removed ready for finishing. You can see the holes on the inside combing thru which the 3/8 in c/s macine scews fasten into the cabin combing. It will probably be refitted again as the facia to cover all the end grain plywood needs to be fastened and glued on. Also the hatch opening needs to be cut and the sliding hatch fitted.
