ENGINE ROOM BULKHEAD...





Serious work to do on the bulkhead aft of the engineroom. It was cracked down in the bilges so doublers each side glued and bolted with copper bolts.The sawn pieces up each side are full of 55yr old steel coach bolts and have to be replaced with copper-I had a large heavey draw-hammer made which has made thier extraction possible.Separated various parts of bulkhead and glued up with the new bolts. Talk of moving the wheelhouse forward tomorrow  We will see......
There will be a lot of ongoing work rebuilding this bulkhead . . .
